What's In It For You?

Joining the music mentors club will be very beneficial for young musicians. You will have access to advice and teachings from accomplished musicians at the high school, while having a makeshift private instructor for help with music you may be working on.

​

We understand not all students are able to go and have hour long private lessons each week, even if they would like.

To provide every musician with an opportunity to sharpen their skills and practice outside of the 50 minutes allotted them during class, we have set up this club and hope to provide assistance to as many young students as we can.

 

As we will be holding individualized lessons online, (see Meetings for more info), our schedule is much more flexible this year. We will try to work out a date and time that is convenient for you.

In our biweekly/weekly sessions, students will be able to work on basics such as bow holds, note readings, and rhythm understanding, as well as gain assistance in learning and perfecting music they will need to learn for class (this includes pieces for concerts, playing tests, etc.)

If there is anything specific a student would like to work on, please let us know! Our job is to help these budding musicians in the best ways they see fit.

Though we would like to provide lessons for everyone that signs up, that may not be entirely possible. If you are at all interested in our club, please make sure to sign up early as we will have to consider a first-come-first-serve policy should the number of students far exceed the number of volunteers available.
